In case you’re not familiar yet with Pinball Magazine: Pinball Magazine Issue 1 was launched in August 2012. The goal was to produce a high quality, glossy, magazine, which would largely focus on one specific topic.

Pinball Magazine Issue 1 turned out to be more like a book than a magazine, with 112 full color pages printed on high quality paper. The main interview, with pinball industry veteran Roger Sharpe, ran to over 56 pages. Other features included articles on the Pacific Pinball Museum, IFPA, online community Pinside.com and much more. From an advertising point of view it was good to see all ads in Issue 1 were pinball related. Issue 1 sold for $15 (plus postal costs). Issue 2 is likely to have more pages, which may result in a higher sale price and postal costs.

As you can read on the feedback page, Pinball Magazine Issue 1 received outstandingly positive feedback. It was seen not just a high quality magazine about pinball, but rather as a highly collectable piece of pinball history that belongs on the bookshelf next to other quality pinball books.
